Pécs 2010 Management Centre

The Management Centre co-ordinates planning and organizational work in five key areas: regional and international relations; planning cultural programmes; marketing and communication; finances and sponsoring; and product sales. The Centre was established when the former Pécs 2010 Application Centre was absorbed within the framework of Európa Centrum Pbc. It is responsible for co-ordinating the management of the network of cultural institutions and players based in the city and the region.

The modern University of Pécs, founded on January 1, 2000 with the merger of Janus Pannonius University, the Medical University of Pécs and the Illyés Gyula Teacher Training College of Szekszárd, is committed to endorsing and popularizing the idea of lifelong education. The new University’s primary goal is to ensure high-level teaching and research, but ample emphasis is also given to programs unique in Hungarian higher education - such as The Dancing University and The Open University - which provide opportunities to our teachers, staff, present and former students to develop their knowledge and education extensively as well as to strengthen their ties with the university.

The University of Stirling was opened in 1967 on a brand new campus built on the estate of the 18th Century Airthrey Castle. Lying two miles from the Royal Burgh of Stirling, the University's location and history provide some clue as to what makes Stirling that bit different from other UK universities. Since that time we have grown considerably and we now also have Highland and Western Isles Campuses.
